The Rule #1 Hoodie
One of our heroes, Best-selling author, magazine editor and podcaster AJ Jacobs spent a year trying to follow as many of the more than 600 rules in the Bible as possible for his book “The Year of Living Biblically.” We love that book. We love that Benjamin Franklin devoted his life to living by a set of rules to guide his thinking, behavior and comportment and we think “Eight Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” deserved more love from critics. But AJ, Benjamin and John Ritter could have saved a whole lot of trouble if they’d just followed the only rule that matters: Don’t Be A Jerk.
Inspired by a hat based on our book that got us stopped in airports and malls around the country and with styling inspired by our favorite t-shirt from college, this collection is simple because Rule #1 is simple, but that doesn’t make it easy. Pick your favorite piece or wear them all. You’ll be surprised how many people will compliment you and ask where they can get one too. (Just don’t forget about us!)
A clean, casual hoodie with a straight-talking message — soft inside, structured outside. The roomy kangaroo pocket and adjustable hood make this sweatshirt feel lived-in from the first wear, while the bold “DON’T BE A JERK” print announces a succinct personal code without shouting. Light-medium weight fleece keeps you comfortable in cool mornings and late-night walks. It’s the kind of sweatshirt you reach for when you want to be warm, direct, and a little bit cheeky.
